I would like to start experiementing with beeswax in my soaps for a harder bar. How would I incorprate it into the oils since its melting point is so much higher? Would I put it in the microwave? I am thinking that when you mix the melted wax into the cooler oils it will resolidify. I usually mix lye and oils at 110 degrees. Any advice is appreciated.

Put the beeswax into your ready to melt oils, then melt the whole thing. Chunk them up so it dissolves faster, or use the beads. Then let your oil cool down to 110. I do it all the time. I would not use the micro to melt the beeswax, due to it's higher melt point.

What sort of percentage would you recommend to try? I mostly use CO,OO,PO, and Castor oil.
