dear all,

just wondering when is the best time to perform a pH test on the soap..trashed 2 previous batches due to high pH...hopefully this batch will be fine :roll:

Are you using a pH meter or test strips? what pH are you coming up with? The pH of handmade soap is about 9 or so. How much are you superfating?

hi again soap buddy =)

pH 11.....im using pH strips, is a recepi from supplier, i just follow everything on the list :roll:

..so im not sure whats her SF is..her recepi as below

397gm coconut oil
567gm extra virgin OO
142gm sodium hydroxide
340gm water
15mls fragrance oil

oil n lye mixing temp is 50c

im thinking to made another batch by following the lye cal...increase the SF..any suggestions soap buddy ?

just check her recepi from lye cal, is 5% sf...

ill made another batch today as 7% SF, and will always remember to use lye cal
