I want to make my pumpkin spice soap this year with a very light trace and no gell (poop it in the freezer 24 hours) but I am afraid that it will start to gell or end up with a suspended gell (meaning it will start to gell as it thaws) happened in my valentines recipe last year, freaky! Because of the pumpkin spice powder and the pumpkin spice FO, do you think it is possible to freeze and get no gell? Thank you. FYI the reason is last year I had a large batch over heat and did not want to take that chance again.

Pumpkin Spice does heat up the batch, so I doubt you would be able to stop it. I put mine in the freezer last year and it gelled anyway. Actually, it overheated. I decided not to sell any of those bars. I won't be doing that again.

So the next question is; why not let it gel? Just don't use the oven so it does not overheat.

I would not mind the gel, just last year they overheated and did not like how they turned out. I did not CPOP or cover with blankets and it still overheated, those suckers take on a life of there own :lol:

I love them so much though (when they come right) so will give it go, this year I am using BB FO and much less pumpkin spice so I will post pics and let you know how it turns out.
