Teach Soap

Have been thinking about opening a small store and making it like a cafe and package soaps in that fashion so started doing some google searching to see how many are already out there and found these amazing talented ladies, then decided who am I kidding I can never do this lol

They are the next best thing to the Soap Queen lol I love the joy they find in the products and you can see how excited they are about them.

Those ladies are so very talented, creative and seem very friendly. If I went there or lived there I would become a customer of theirs, and I am not one for buy soap in the shape of food. Maybe they will find out they got featured here on the forum!

Thanks for all the kind comments everyone. Opening my own retail store is the best decision I ever made. I just had to go for it. I never wanted to do wholesale because I want to create what I want when I want, the soap I make is always evolving. The few wholesale accounts we do have know the soap will never look the same way twice.

Now I'm not saying it was easy by any means and success was not instant - it's still a work in progress. Since I did not have a money tree growing in my backyard or the amount of starting capital everyone with any sense said I needed, I did have to sacrifice on the location I really wanted (a blessing in disguise,) the decor, lighting, etc. Little by little, improvements were made and customers were gained.

Now two years later, we are going to open a second location in a much more prosperous location. The knowledge I gained here is invaluable (I really was blissfully ignorant, another blessing in disguise) and I am now ready to bump it up a notch or two.

Sue I enjoyed the video tour of your store! I am just a beginner soaper and it was inspiring. Yet it was also intimidating. Makes me realize how far have to go. But so far it is very exciting

One thing you have to keep in mind is that she obviously did not have success over night! I'm sure it took constant effort and many many positive little choices every day to get to where she is now. Don't give up! We all start small and have to have time to grow
