I'm thinking of using Optiphen as the preservative in my liquid soap. On the Brambleberry site it says " It is suggested for usage levels at .5 - 1.5% ". Does that mean I weigh the finished soap and add .5 - 1.5% of the Optiphen? That's a pretty wide range. Any suggestions or advice out there?

Weigh the finished soap that you are planning to use. I would start with 0.5% and see how that works out for you. Be aware that this preservative needs to be added below 140 (US) I believe.
