Teach Soap

I live in Manila and I feel so envious of the soapers' recipes in this forum. Most of the oils used are hard and rare to find in my country. If there are, they are normally very expensive.

My question though is about VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil), which is readily available here.. cheap too , does it make a difference as compared to the normal coconut oil?

When I check soap calculators on the internet, there is no option for VCO. Would anyone happen to know if it's also good for soap because I read somewhere that in other oils like olive oil; Virgin olive oil is not good for soaping. Is it the same thing for VCO and coconut oil?

On the soap calc use it as regular coconut. 100% coconut with 20% superfat makes a nice bar. Try it.
Virgin olive oil is fine for soaping too.
