Hi. I feel terrible cause I only joined this afternoon and I'm asking for help already. I very seldom make goat's milk soap but have learned some tricks like keeping it frozen and cool-soaping. Anyway....here's my recipe:
10 oz Lard
7.15 oz Coconut Oil (76 degree from BrambleBerry
)
4.85 oz Palm Oil (from BB !!)
5.85 oz Olive Oil (from the grocery store
)
2.0 oz Castor Oil (BB again!!)
.65 oz Beeswax
4.3 oz lye
12 oz goat's milk (in carton from grocery store)
I ran it through soapcalc and it's supposed to be a 5% superfat with a 38% ratio, fats to liquid.
Should I increase my lye amounts for using goats milk which already has some fat? I'm sorry to bother the more experienced soapers but this is a big variation from my usual bar and I'm unsure of myself.
Thanks for any advice.
