Add about 1 tablespoon of nettle leaf powder per pound of oils. Include more or less depending on the shade you are going for. If you prefer, you can infuse one of your liquid soap making oils with the nettle leaf powder and use the infused oil as usual in your soap recipe. Both ways work very well.

nettle begins as kind of a lime green but you can get darker with more added and sometimes I mix it with spirulina to get a different color green, in between the lime and the dark that spirulina usually is. It is a pretty green. :D

That sounds like a interesting green. How long does it stay that way?

well, yes and no, :P :P my battery is dead and I cant find the charger, so I have pics on the camera that I cant get off right now. And I have been listing products so I NEED those pictures! But anyway, I generally blend mine to come up with variations and all of my more recent ones are the variations. I did a lime coconut one back a while ago, I will see if I have any pics from that one cuz I used it plain and in a mix too.
And from what I have seen (I havent kept any of these bars), the coloring lasted quite nicely, no morphing in the 6 months that I probably had the soap.

I used a light amount of nettle in this for one part, and a med amount with an equal amount of spironila for the the other. This is the only one I could find that had it at all in an unmixed state. Sorry about that. But I have used a med amount and gotten a darker, brighter green than the pale one here. It is a nice herb powder to use. :D
