Greetings all,
I've been a M&P soaper and just starting to get into CP soaping. Can you tell me from your experience, what BB FO & EO's work & hold their scent best in CP?

Also, is there a list of colorants (BB) that have a beautiful color in CP?

As far as EO's, most citruses will fade, unless you add an anchor.

I don't think I've been unhappy with any BB fragrance in CP. Some of my favorites are Berry Wine, Nag Champa, Oatmeal Milk and Honey, Summer Fling...the list goes on and on.

Color in CP is tricky because many fragrances discolor, but you can enhance that, for example, I add brown mica to Nag Champa to push it from tan to brown. I use micas, the lab colors are really vibrant and true. Make small test batches and experiment with pigments, stuff in your kitchen (tumeric and paprika combined make a pretty peach color) micas and so forth.

Don't give up just because something doesn't work out right away, I used a lavender color once that soaped grey, and later blossomed to gorgeous lavender! Same with fragrance, some will lack scent when you soap, then it blooms.
