My coconutmilk recipe calls for shortening,my shortening issoybean oil and cottonseed oil versus palm oil, is there anything to consider...I already put it thru the calculator, but just wondering about the cottonseed oil??

I would take the SAP value of the soybean and calculate your recipe that way. For the ingredient listing on your label, list it as soybean and cottonseed oils.

Just use SoapCalc and click on the "Old" crisco option.
