Teach Soap

Weird question--

I have a ton of eyeshadows and blush from Bare Minerals or Bare Escentuals or whatever they go by that I'm never ever going to use. I suppose if I wasn't so lazy I could get them all together and bring them to Sephora and get some store credit for them, but since I AM that lazy, do you think that they can be used as micas in CP soap? I'm not sure what else is added to mineral makeup to make it not plain mica, and I wasn't sure if it would work. Has anyone ever tried it?

Do you have the ingredient list? You would need to list all of it. Since it's most likely mixed with serecite or another filler, it's going to take a lot of it to get a decent color. Some of the micas might morph also.

Oh, yeah, the ingredients list. I don't sell the stuff I make or anything-it's all personal use. If I gave some away, would I be able to just say "colored with Bare Minerals Opal Fire Eyeshadow" or something like that?

I tried some mica-type eye shadow in a batch of soap one time, the color was not intense enough to leave much color in the soap.

I used one of their eye shadows to color a test batch to just see what would happen. It was a sparkly copper color. It turned out great and when I soaped with the color didn't come out of the soap and on the hands. This was a batch I didn't sell though.
