I have a dumb newbie re-batch question. If I re-batch soap that has been curing for three week dose the new soap start curing for day one or from the three week of the original soap? Thanks.

Not for sure what you are asking, but your cp soap has already cured at 3 weeks. When you add water to the soap shreds to melt them, that adds more liquid, so it may take a couple of weeks for any excess moisture to evaporate from your rebatched soap.

Thanks Isg. I guess I am asking if the curing process start all over for the full 4 to 6 week?

I would try melting your soap in a covered glass bowl in the microwave on about 50% power for a minute at a time, then stir gently. You may find that you only need to add a couple of tablespoons of water, which will speed up your curing time. My first rebatches I used way too much water and the soaps all shrunk and took forever to cure. Now I don't add any water unless I need to. The rebatch will never be as smoothe as CP, though.
