Teach Soap

I am kind of a newbie and usually just "lurk" - learning so much from all of you, but I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone to use safety glasses when soaping. Today my soap splashed while I was stirring (just before trace). It splashed onto my safety glasses and face. My eyes are fine thanks to the glasses and there is a small spot (I think the word burn would be an overstatement) on my check. Please be very careful and always wear safety gear!!

Glad you're ok. I'm just about to start my adventures in CP soap so things like that are always on my mind. I am actually thinking about switching safety glasses for a full face shield if I stick with making it.

Glad that you are alright! Thanks for posting this, great reminder that even soapers with many batches under their belts can never be too careful! =)

It is a great reminder. Lye needs to be respected. Always, always follow safety precations when making soap. Accidents do happen.
