Sorry if this is a dumb question but what happens after the process in the video is finished. Is that thick blob watered down or used as it is etc. Is it meant for a pump. I have never made liquid soap and would love to try it but having read some of the other ways of doing it found it all a bit daunting and long winded. The video process seems so easy. Is it a good way to make liquid soap is I suppose what I am asking. Thanks so much.

The making of the actual soap is pretty easy. Diluting to make it into liquid soap is another story. If you're not familiar with it, I would go with the old fashioned method so you know what it feels like, looks like and about how much water to use to dilute. Then try it this way.

Why does glycerin speed up the whole saponification process that much?
