Teach Soap

Hello,

I've made soaps before using cocoa powder as a thin line between layers and it's worked well. I really want to use other colours though like black.

Will mica, clay or oxides work the same way and will they hold the layers together like the cocoa powder? Is one choice better then the other?

For black I have a black clay, black oxide or black mica and I'm wondering which will work the best or if one is a disaster waiting to happen.

I have a feeling that mica is the best one to choose but thought I'd ask for advice as well.

I would try the mica first.

Those soaps were beautiful but I don't see that as the kind of thin line you get with mica. I did something like that and the mica was just sprinkled between the layers. It was in the first edition of e-zine. lovinsoap.com that I purdhased from Brambleberry.
