Teach Soap

I have never made M&P soap and I certainly don't need another hobby however............ I found the cutest mold at the grocery store. The ice cubes look like little gumdrops. The bottom of the mold (top of the gumdrop) are round and made of silicone so they would pop out easily. For some reason I have a 1 LB block of clear melt and pour. I thought it might be fun to make some single use sugar scrubs. But.........all my colors are formulated for CP soap. Can I use these? I don't want to make them bad enough to order M&P colors. Maybe I should just one or two M&P colors from the local craft store until I see if I want to do this. I have a vision of these in a glass jar sitting on the counter in the bathroom. Maybe like most of my visions it wouldn't be that great.
Off to cut a white swirled with green Gardenia soap.

CP soap colors are usually safe for MP soap. Depending which ones you have, be aware that over time some of them bleed into the surrounding soap. I would not get any colors from the craft store; nor any MP base. It's poor quality and you will get frustrated. I would suggest that you try micas from BrambleBerry. Those don't bleed.

If this little project turns into something I don't want to pursue I can always use the micas in my CP.....right??

I found these same molds at the grocery store! It is cute, but have not used them yet. What do you use for to color you soap now?

I use lab colors. I doubt I have any colors that would look like a gum drop, I have never seen a sage green or Sky at Dusk gumdrops. I think all mine are high pH colors.

I would get some micas. I use them in both CP and M&P soaps.
