That's something I'm interested in knowing, too. I don't know which oils make the best soap for facial use.

I'm not crazy about castille soap so I just ran a couple of mostly olive oil recipes through soapcalc and decided to try the following:
70% olive oil
20% shea butter
10% castor oil
5% sf

The conditioning properties are about the same as 100% OO, but the bubbly and creamy categories change for the better (IMHO). :roll:

I have seen some bars with neem oil and jojoba, both are ideal for skin.

If you want bubbles in castille, try 95% castille and 5% castor.

I have pretty sensitive skin on my head, especially on my face. I have found that the animal-based soap recipes at http://www.millersoap.com work best for me. I like the recipe "Blended Soap Using Beef Shortening (or Lard)/No Coconut (Kathy Miller)" made with lard. I haven't found that any of the expensive butters, oils, etc make any difference.

Activated Charocoal supposed be good for face too and there are a few oils that have cleaning properties like lavender
