Teach Soap

I am trying to find 3d or full molds. How do they work with CP soap? I also have a couple 2 part molds- front and back. How do I attach them together?

I have a '3-D' snowball mold and it has worked very well. It is made out of silicone and that is the key. Have not used it alot because I still have not gotten around to making white soap yet... maybe soon. I did do some green snowballs once!

I have used them on occassion, but because they are small, it's hard to make CP soap with just 4 ozs. or so. MP base is better to use with these type of molds.

SB is right... you would have to invest ALOT of money to get enough molds of one type to do one style per batch. I usually use mine as left over pour, hense the green snowballs

Thanks, I was thinking of trying the crock pot method or handmilled...

Crockpot or handmill will not be pourable. They are more the consistency of mashed potatoes. For molds like this, you would probably end up with a lot of air holes.

Thanks Soapbuddy! So do you think HP is a better option? I am VERY new and sucking up any info I can. I thought I read somewhere that for using special molds etc... hand milled is the way to go...? I am desperate to create!! ok, longing to create!
