I did some CP soap and wanted to put some swirls in it. I have done swirls in the past by dividing my soap into 2 or 3 parts after it reaches a light trace then mixing my coloring to each by mixing a small amount of color in oil in a very small plastic cup using a café frothier then adding that to each part and give it another quick mix.
I then layer these portions into my log mold and do my swirls. Let it set up and that’s it.
I’m using Oxides in Glycerin from TKB that come in ½ ounce bottles

This last time I wanted very vivid colors sort of streaked through out the bars so I mixed my soap to trace.
I mixed my color in glycerin adding a small amount of the traced soap in a small plastic cup using my café frothier. This time I poured this small mixture directly into my soap, which I had put into my mold. I did this from a distance up so that it would reach to about the middle of the soap in the mold and then did my swirling.
After about 15 hours I checked my soap and the coloring that was on top had sort of separated from the Glycerin and oil. I left it another 24 hours and its still sort of an oozing, bleeding mess.
I cut the soap into bars anyway, washed them off and am letting them dry.
What did I do wrong ??? Did I not mix enough traced soap in to my colorant and glycerin???
Maybe I should have you’d powdered Mica’or Oxides or ??? Something similar.

Sounds like you needed more raw soap in your colors.
