Teach Soap

Has anybody noticed that this particular fragrance fades almost completely when used in CP soap? I'm even using the highest recommended amount in each batch. I've tried gelling and not gelling both leave me a little disappointed, but I love the smell when it's in the bottle.

This is kind of humorous but worth sharing. I ordered a large coconut oil from BB over the phone to have delivered to a friend. A mistake was made and instead BB shipped a 1 qt bottle of Island coconut FO. It was given to me and I still have it. I found the best use for this is to make "chocolate" scented soap out of goat's milk. I mix a ratio of about 3:1 Island coconut and dark rich chocolate. Smells just like a fudge brownie. I tried just using the island coconut by itself and same thing happened.

Seriously, give the chocolate mix a try. Or you can mix it with the vanilla.....and combined they smell like chocolate.

I am glad you shared this problem since it was on my list of scents to order, I think I will hold off on that!

Geez.....BB is gonna kill me thinking I'm preventing people from ordering stuff.

Honestly, the goat's milk chocolate is a great seller for me. I label it "Fudge Brownie" (of course....you know me & brownies). If you think about it.....how is "white chocolate" derived? I think it's from coconut, but not certain.

I love coconut too, but the same thing happened with my CP. However it sticks in MP, which I don't make anymore. It would be nice in body butter.

It does seem to fade in CP soaps, we put a note up on the site mentioning this. Thanks!
We are always on the look out for better ones but the Island Coconut that we have now was the best of quite a few that got tested.

I like to use a little Island Coconut with Almond, Vanilla and Arabian Spice. Yummy.

I too find that this fragrance fades in CP, so what is left is used as a filler so to speak a mixer. The only other fragrance I've had to be careful with is Moonlight Pomegranate and I just love this fragrance so it is worth the acceleration.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

Mella, I just ordered that! Guess I will not try alot of swirls with it. Did you gel or not? If not did you get a partial gel? This is the one thing I dislike the most. I deal with ash, incomplete swirls, layers that mixed, but I'll do anything to avoid the partial gel
