Teach Soap

Ok I attempted for the 2nd time to make whipped soap. The first time I actually succeeded and it turned out nice. This time I decided to be exotic and add coconut milk (canned) to my formula. This is what I did. Once my lye temperature was around 69 degrees I added the other half of my "liquid" which was my coconut milk. Ok once I added the lye mixture to my whipped oils, it did'nt thicken back up it kinda looked like it does when I bring it too trace during the Cold Process method. It was like thick pudding but not "fluffy". What happened? Do I need to throw it out? I used Palm, Coconut, castor, olive, Shea, cocoa butter and its a 4 lb batch I would hate to throw it away!

What was your actual recipe? Was this for non gelled whipped soap a la Nizzy?

Castor 2oz
Cocoa Butter 1 oz
Coconut Oil 20 oz
Olive Oil 10 oz
Palm 9oz
Shea 3oz

I actually came up with this one on my own I was'nt following in one else's recipe. I just thought it would come out the other whipped soap I made. I checked it a minute ago I started firming up pretty quick.

Sounds like due to the coconut milk it took longer to harden. I think you will be fine.

Ok thanks I was freeking out there for a minute. I guess from now on I should expect the unexpected.

Ok thanks but I was'nt changing anything I was experimenting on my own accord and was'nt expecting the outcome:)
