Teach Soap

A rebatched soap which contained TD leaves the skin feeling a bit sticky after rinsing off, I cannot work out if it is due to the TD or the new fragrance I used (unknown brand vanilla). Has anyone ever experienced this kind of result with TD or fragrances? I am not used to TD since I hardly ever use it specially in hot process. Any comment is much appreciated, I am puzzled by this and wish to find out what is the cause of this problem

It could be the fragrance or the recipe used. I use TD in some of my soaps and they are not sticky. What is your recipe?

I wouldn't say it's the TD either, I use it all the time. Do you use castor? Too much castor will make for a sticky soap.

Here is my recipe (10% SF)
CO 20%
OO 30%
PO 35%
Castor 5%
Cocoa butter 9%
steric acid 1%

I have used this recipe many times before the only difference this time is the FO & TD. I was wondering if it could be TD which was cooked during rebatching? I'm puzzled by this experience

That's a puzzle then if you made the same recipe and this time it came out different. Blame the soap gremlins.

thanks so much for your replies, I guess I will have to do a bit of detective work and find the culprit of stickiness
