Teach Soap

I am getting this white ash on the tops of my soaps lately.. i thought it was due to cold draft, but I have made extra sure to get the soap covered as soon as I pour it and cover it quickly. It has been really cold where we live and our house is kinda drafty. Could this be something other than a cold draft hitting it before I can get it covered?

While I can't tell you what causes ash, I have found that if I put Saran Wrap (cling film) over my mold and then wrap in towel (if I want to gel the soap) it has greatly reduced ash. I've read that others add a bit of beeswax to their recipe. I've not tried this, so I can't attest to that one.
Also, if I CPOP (put it in the oven) I don't get ash.

No matter what I do it seems I get ash to some degree.. gel, don't gel, CPOP, beeswax, change oil, change soaping temps, soap in the morning, afternoon, or night, do a soap fairy dance, etc. What I do know is that a discarded damp nylon rubbed over the soap removes it.
