Teach Soap

I just finished my first batch of CP soap and I'm hooked! It traced perfectly and is a gorgeous butter color. I didn't add anything to it. I'm going to make another batch tomorrow and add lavender and herb FO and oatmeal. I stirred this batch by hand to be sure I wouldn't miss when it traced, but after about 30 minutes I grabbed the immersion blender and finished it.

I know, I know I am hooked just place my 3rd order to Brambleberry in 3 weeks! I am actually planning my next vacation around soaping- gathering supplies and equipment for 7 days of soaping!! I think I may even try hot process.....

Update - My poor dogs had to wait to go outside this morning because I was excited to see how the batch turned out! The texture is as smooth as can be, but still smells like olive oil (I'm hoping this will go away eventually). I sliced half into bars and rebatched the rest into a few bars each of Chamomile & Ginger, and Milk & Honey. Now I'm off to the store to get more olive oil and some lard to try out another recipe.

May I join you all in the Obsessive and Compulsive Soapmakers Anonymous Society? LOL
I've made three batches of soap and I think I will give the bars away to have an excuse to make more soap LOL I can't take baths all day long to use them all up at once

I am willing to exchange bars so we can be 'testers' for each other, that way we can try other recipes and see our progress.

I just finished some lilac scented soaps, which I think was a failure! it seized in the pan ~I will see tomarrow, but I have some nice bars I have made last month.....
