I have some letter molds that I am trying to do with two colors. Black for the letters and white for the soap. I am having the hardest time with getting these right. The main problem is getting the soap out of the mold with the black letter intact. Does anyone have any suggestions? If I use a solid color the soap comes out fine, it is only when I use the two colors of course that I have problems. I have been trying two different techniques for the letter, either letting just the letter dry overnight and then pouring the white the next day or doing the letter and then pouring the white on top of it. The second technique (pouring the white over the still wet black) sometimes works and sometimes the black just runs out of the letter and mixes with the black :(

I am using a recipe that has castor, coconut, palm and canols (that is posted on the teachsoap.com website).

Any suggestions ??

I would suggest waiting a day or two for the black letters to sit, then pouring your white layer over a spoon. Pour as cool as you can. If the letters bleed, you might consider using black mica or activated charcoal.
