I was thinking of doing a re-batch in order to have soap ready for Christmas. My question is do you first make the original soap unscented and then add the fragrance once you've melted it back down? Does the same go for colorants? Also, with this process is it suggested to use less fragrance and is it ok to use with scents that are temperamental in cp soap?

Why don't you do CPOP or HP instead? That way you don't have to rebatch and the soap will be ready for the holidays. I would add your color and fragrance when the soap is first made. Rebatch soap will never melt down to a liquid again. It will be more like glopping into your mold. I prefer not to rebatch as I find my soaps esthetically challenged if I do that this way.
