I have developed a shaving soap recipe that I am very happy with and want to start mass producing it for sale. I am having a very difficult time finding a molding device that will produce a 3 " round and 1.25 " deep shaving round that looks good enough to sell. I have tried the PVC pipe method and the muffin tin method but neither one worked out for me. I am thinking that maybe silicone molds are the next thing to try. My soap also is thick at the trace point when it is ready to pour and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the silicone molds and how do they put the soap in the molds and get it to settle completely with no bubbles or cavities. Any help would be appreciated ????

Welcome!
Have your tried single round molds? I use a PVC pipe and then cut the soap to size.

I use the silicone muffin trays. They fit just right in the mugs that I use.
