:( Help! I have made some cold process soap with
tallow, oils, and lye. I want to make some hand
milled soap so I shredded my basic soap, added
water and tried to melt the soap in order to add
other stuff. I can not get the stuff to melt, it
just becomes a thick paste. I can force it into
a mold and it comes out OK. What am I doing
wrong and/or how can I fix this problem. Thanks

Remilled (or rebatched) soap will never be as fluid as when making CP. At best you will be able to "glop" it into your mold.
Is the CP something you made or bought?
You don't need to remill CP soap.
