Hi everyone. It is good to be on your forum. I am Peggi's husband.

Help !

I am new at cold process, but I have done Hot process quite a few times without problems. My soap has reached gel stage but just will not complete the stage

. It has been stuck at this stage for several days :evil:

. It was insulated with towels and started to get gel like (?) in some places - then it just stopped. I have had it outside in towels in 100 degree + days but it just refuses to budge. What have I done wrong? Can anyone help? Am I doomed to go hot forever? I will just oven cure it this time but it chaps my hide not to be able to get it right!
PLEASE!!!

Does anyone have any ideas :idea:

Yes some of it came out darker and some is almost white :?:

. Any idea where I went wrong? Could it be in the recipie or in the mixing?? It is the first time I used a stick mixer instead of just by hand. It went to trace in around 30 seconds instead of a half hour. Then it was like real thick custard in a few minutes more. I barely had time to add the fragrance oils. :roll:

What was the temp of your lye and your oils before you poured?

You can add your fragrance to your melted, cooled oils, before you add the lye, if you know that the fragrance will not accelerate trace.
