Here I go again playing around with new recipes, sill me :) So, I decided I would try a recipe with coconut milk and shredded coconut. I made the batch on August 20th and it's still pretty soft, and is also a bit oily. Is this normal? My other soaps that I made a week or so later are hard as rocks!

Here's my recipe:
Olive oil 40oz
Palm oil 15oz
Coconut oil 15oz
Sweet Almond 5oz
Castor oil 5oz

Coconut milk 12oz
Water 22oz

I superfatted 5% and I added about 1/4 cup of shredded coconut at thin trace. Oh, I also added the milk at thin trace. I think I recall reading somewhere that's when milk should be added. The soap didn't zap after 24 hours, but it just won't get hard. Did I do something wrong? Any advice is appreciated, and thank you in advance!

Almond and castor are both soft oils. I would give it some time.

Thanks Soapbuddy. I try to be patient, but that doesn't always work :) I hadn't used Sweet Almond oil before, and didn't know it was soft. I've used Castor before, so I knew that one was soft. I guess the combination of the two......

Anyway, thank you so much!

You're welcome. Go put that soap away for a while and come back to it in a month or so.
