I'm in the process of getting the equipment I need for CP (almost there!). I'm getting a little ahead of myself here, but I want to be prepared...I'm going to make my own loaf cutter ( I can't cut straight and I want even bars!) I was wondering if 1" thick bars are the average...or should I go with 1.25"? I'm just curious because I have no idea how much the bar will shrink after cure. Is this a dumb question? :lol:

I would go with 1.25" because the bars will shrink.

I was hoping you would say 1.25"! I don't know how much the bars will shrink, but I prefer more of a chunky bar...so thank you very much! I have all the materials...so now I can go ahead and assemble (with hubby's help, of course).

I figure on them shrinking about 20%
