And natural-if possible. I made some soap with some different colored mica-and it irritated my skin (whatever about my ridiculously sensitive skin) I want something fun-with pretty colors-not in need to actual recipe, just something pretty that I can add that won't irritate me??

You can try infused paprika, carrot juice or clays like pink or green.

Carrot juice will fade to a pretty light peach over time. Rosemary powder will go brown. Natural green herbal material has chlorophyll in it which will oxidizes and turns brown over time. You can use tomato powder, but don't use too much since it's acidic and could interact with your lye.

The easiest I would say are the oxides and ultramarines. Those tend to morph the least.

I have had some nice results infusing calendula flowers in olive oil to get a pretty yellowish color. Calendula is thought have an anti-inflamatory properties so it should be ok for sensitive skin.

When you infuse do you use fresh or dried calendula? I would like to try this.

I use dried calendula. You can cook it slowly in a crock pot for a while but I prefer to put it in a clear jar and let it sit in the sun for a couple of weeks. I believe there are some good threads here and on some other forums about infusing oils.

got it soapbuddy, that computes in my mind. I think I will let these infuse while I go on vacation and then once I get home will have something to play with!
