Has anyone used blue cornmeal to color soap? I tried it in a 1lb batch, adding 15 Tbsp of cornmeal but it's not blue at all. Now I'm rebatching it but I'm not sure how far to go with the cornmeal.

The color won't stay. You're better off using blue ultramarine or mica.

Thanks Soapbuddy! You're right. Not a good way to get a blue color. I made this soap as part of an experiment in natural colorants for a soapmakers convention. I rebatched it yesterday and added 3/4 cup of blue cornmeal. With 15 tablespoons it was a light beige and now it's a dark brown. I'm so glad I only made 1lb.
