I think I'll attach photos tomorrow but...
Made some soap today. I don't know why but it seems that I make CP soap at late night no matter my intention of making soap in the afternoon. Anyway, I made a Ginger Lime Loofah bars with a PVC mold in the afternoon. The first time I made the loofah bar the whole soap came easily out of the PCV pipe mold. I didn't even have to push it hard. This time, it was the most difficult thing ever. I thought I would have to break the darn thing! Luckily, we have a wood shop and the bf put it on my crazy clamps and got that thing out. Good news: he just used it in the shower and said it was the best thing since slice bread. Yahoo.
Yesterday, I tried the sugar cube soap scrub that was posted on Soap Queen blog. It smelled good and I put it in the PET jars and it sweated and sweated, and is continue to sweat. Can't give those away like I want to but again, the BF said it felt good in the shower. I've also tried it and it was great. I followed the recipe exactly so not sure what happened.
Yesterday, I made CP soap and placed it in the WSP silicone log mold. I thought I was being patient waiting 24 hours and all (usually I'm too excited and unmold my soap at 12 hours). There was no way that soap was coming out of that mold. I should have waited longer. It was obviously too soft to cut. I've read somewhere that with this mold you have to wait longer. It is now out of the mold nonetheless but...sad face here...it is not as clean as I wished it be. I will have to trim, trim, trim. Kinda defeats the purpose of buying that mold. Hopefully things will be better.
This last CP soap...gah! I wanted to make a swirl...but ended up not being fast enough and by the time I got the swirl going it was already thick trace. Don't ask. Still was able to make some swirls but later blended the colors together when I went to make the peaks. Played too much with those peaks! Should have left it alone! It is now gelling and we'll see if the colors changed tomorrow in any way. I also put this in the WSP silicone mold so maybe it won't be ready to come out tomorrow.
Sorry this is long. But thanks for reading!
