Teach Soap

Hello, just waiting on my insulation period to be over, I just made CP soap for the first time!!! Yay me!!! I do have a question though; where can I find recipes other than recipes with palm oil? Also, is there a brick and mortar where I can purchase the oils such as - coconut, palm, avocado? Thank you!!!

You can get Coconut, Sunflower, Safflower, Soybean, Grapeseed and Olive (of course) at Walmart or your grocery store. All are usually right with the Crisco/Lard/Olive Oils. Also, check your groceries/Walmart's Hispanic aisle, I've heard sometimes you can find other oils there.

Now, is it cheaper to buy online? Probably, I'm not sure once you add in shipping and all. I've recently ordered a few things, but my staples (I'm only at 5 batches) have come from those spots. If you have a health food store, herb store or New Age store in your area, you can try them. I've found ours to be much more expensive, but would work if you were in a hurry to soap.

it really depends which website you buy from and where their shipping facility is. the closer they are to you, the lower the shipping costs USUALLY. some websites also do free shipping, and others do base fee shipping.

if you find a website with free shipping, and their prices are good and you dont mind waiting to recieve your stuff, then that would definitely be the best option.

ive found health food and grocery stores to be expensive because you can really only get the oils in smaller amounts, and the smaller the amount, the more expensive PLUS you sometimes pay for brand name & labeling.
