Teach Soap

yay!! I ordered a Cold Process soap making kit from bramble berry. So I'm halfway there.
I still need to get some more things... like NaOH.

I never realized how solid Coconut oil was though. Wow! crazy.

Anyways... I haven't actually introduced myself at all... So...

My name is Lianne, and I'm from Montreal (Canada). I'm just starting my soaping hobby. I got into it actually because of the bee club at my school.
I started looking up products made with bee by products, and it turns out soap was one of them.
I won't be using beeswax, but I certainly had an interest in making soap.

So here I am!

I've been watching so many videos and reading so much about soap making. And now I have a book too from Bramble Berry.

Although, I like Bramble Berry, but I'm not sure I'll order from there anymore because the shipping and customs ends up being almost as much as the product itself.

Maybe I'll ask other Canadians Where they get it. Still, I loved Bramble Berry, so I figured supporting them for all their hard work would be a good idea!

I live on the East Coast (MA) and I agree that shipping is a killer sometimes. I use suppliers closer to me but when it comes to certain ingredients I do order from Brambleberry from time to time. They make great quality ingredients. So sometimes I ask other soapers who live near me if they want to place an order together and split the shipping costs.
