Teach Soap

Does anyone make KOH liquid Soap? I just made one and found the color is not clear after dilution. Anyone knows what problem is it?

If you superfatted it won't come out clear. Did you do 0% superfat?

Soapbuddy is right. Also you do not want to use oils high in palmitic and stearic acids. You will not get clear soaps with them. It could also be you did not cook it long enough. As a rough rule of thumb once your paste turns clear cook it one hour more. It may need to just set still for a week or 2 as well. If you added any additives they could be the problem as well. I think I have 5 different liquid soaps right now and all 5 are clear. That is something I insist on.

Looks like your soap didn't totally saponified. Like bigmoose said, your paste has to look transparent, it might look like honey color paste. And maybe not using distilled water to dilute might cause this?! Usually when I add EO in my liquid soap it gets cloudy first then I let it sit for a day then it gets all clear up again.
