Teach Soap

My latest project. I was hoping to get a bit of feedback from ev1.
The cake is a cp recipe with chocolate amd lemon swirls. I used a lard, co, and soy oil recipe and chocolate and lemon bundt cake fo's. Then for the glaze, I covered it with a choco colored mp base, let it cool, spritzed and then a lemon colored mp to finish it off.

I will be doing the local farmer's market here starting in a few weeks, and I wanted something that would help to draw interest in my booth. The aroma is amazing! I can smell this in my house still from making it yesterday.
I'm thinking my next one will be a strawberry shortcake type?

Alot of my projects lately seem to have a food theme. I suppose it's one way to keep me on my diet. They may look good enough to eat but that's one bite I won't be taking...lol

I had a unruly child take a bite out of one of my soap cupcakes once. I couldn't stop him in time. The look on his face was priceless. That will teach him not to eat something just because it looks edible.

That is just too funny! When hubbs came in from work today and saw the soap cake on the table, he said he just knew I had been baking today cuz he could smell it from outside. He asked what what was so special about today that I had made dessert? I laffed and said go ahead, give this one a try. He could tell by my evil grin something was up, so he stops and thinks for a minute and looks around the kitchen, and says aww man, it's soap isnt it? He's learning that you dont take a bite out of anything w/o asking if it's soap, or food.

He does have a dirty mouth at times so it probably wouldnt hurt him to eat some soap once in a while. But I'd sure hate to waste a good soap just to teach him a lesson. lol

Denise that is some awesome looking soap!! And shame on you for tricking your husband like that. Coming from a guy.....that was just mean. But it would have been hilarious to watch him take a bite!! <evil grin>.

My wife cured me from drinking out of a carton straight from the fridge with one of her tricks. Did you know that "potato-water" looks just like fresh lemonade in the fridge. Imagine getting down about 4 big gulps before realizing that it tastes like rotten potatoes instead of lemonade. A very evil but effective Pavlovian conditioning for husbands. She could write the book on the subject......

I promise I would have stopped him b4 he actually took that bite. He has learned through the years to watch for that evil grin of mine. He thought it was pretty funny too, just gave him an aweful craving for sweets . So I took him to sonic for icecream instead... All's good in my world.
