I just un-molded my soap and it was wet when I cut it. But it was more an oil than water. It is the same recipe I have been using. I tested the ph and it's about 8. When you rinse the wet or oil off your hands it lathers, so it's like liquid soap. Now the only two things I did different was I poured it into the mold at very light trace. I also left it in the mold for 4 days. I use the silicone/plastic mold from the Soap Hutch. I cut it this morning and I can see it will dry ok but was wondering why it happened. I was also wondering how long should I keep the soap in the mold? Soapbuddy, I know you have a mold like this. Am I leaving it too long or not long enought. I have been adding SL and beeswax at about .5% total. Should I put in .5% of each? The mold makes 48 5.5 oz bars. I can see that you can never be bored making soap. I feel like every batch can be an adventure.
