Teach Soap

my last batch which was a goats milk soap scented with cucumber melon is about ready to be labled. I had chosen the name - goats in the melon patch - when I first made it. Then one day I was watching a soap video on you tube and found someone who called her soaps " goats in the ________ patch" as well. Now I don't know if it is proper to use my name or re-think it? I am only doing this as a hobby and will not be trying to sell. What are everyones thoughts ?

Ditto: if you don't plan to market or sell then I wouldn't worry about it.

Isn't it frustrating when you think you've had a brilliant idea, and then find some one has beaten you to it! Dampens down the creative enthusiasm somewhat.

There are not any new ideas, just re arranged ones, perhaps! What if you hadn't seen that and put the name you chose on a bar and sold it at a farmers market? No harm no foul in that case I think!

Thanks everyone. This helps my thought process. I now wonder if there are actually any names not taken. Guess that is what I get for watching you tube, but I wanted to see all of Ann Maries videos and some how this other one just linked to it. I never had this problem with naming my hubbies candles.
