Got on the phone and my milk thawed too much - it really scalded as I added my lye (I did this slowly too) but the milk must have thawed too much. What do I do with this curdled, orange mess?

I made goats milk and it scaled too. I used the hand blender and it un-curdeled. The color turned tan.

Thanks - I will try it now that it has cooled and see what I get. I did not know if it was worth wasting my oils, but I also did not know how to dispose of it if I did not use it. It is a really dark orange/light brown.

If you ever need to dispose of Lye mixed with anything - just pour in an equal amout of white vinegar and let it sit a while. Then it will be safe to pour out.

Thanks so much! I started making CP about 6 weeks ago so I am just beginning to enjoy my creations. I am loving it and I have loved everyone that has answerd questions on this site along the way. I am really catching the bug and want to try and create all the time, my DH teases me - "are your chores done yet??" He thinks I should be a wife and mother before a soaper - silly guy, what does he know. I do need to milk the goats to work though. Thanks again.
