Hi all,
I made a layered soap and sprinkled charcoal on the bottom layer to create a "line".
Issues/problems were:
1. Though I used a small strainer to sift the charcoal, it got all over the sides of my liner paper. Is there a better way to do this? 2. When I cut yesterday (after 24 hours of being unmolded), the black "bled" down the face of the soap as if the cutter pulled the black down. Is this because I cut too soon? Is this because I sprayed top of layer with alcohol, sifted the charcoal, and then sprayed again and that allowed it to bleed.
I'm all out of ideas how to do this. . .any suggestions?
BTW--was able to clean off the bleeds with a sponge and paper towel but wouldn't want to normally put that much time into cleaning the faces of the bars. In addition, couldn't get the black off the sides of the soap where the powder coated the liner paper.
Advice?
Thanks,
Lisa
