Hi Folks, Im wanting to make another unscented soap ( that will make 3) . Alot of people really seem to love these. Shea butter and Aloe. Please tell me how much shea butter PPO to use without effecting the lather.

I use shea butter at no more than 5% of my recipe. I haven't used aloe so I don't know about that one. HTH.

Is this for cold process or Melt N' Pour? If it's MP, no more than a TBS. per lb. of base. If it's for CP, it depends what the rest of your recipe is.

Since this was posted in CP section, I'm guessing your recipe is for cold process. I've substituted aloe for 100% of water in the lye mix and had fantastic results. With shea butter I use no more than 10% and had good lather but it would depend on your recipe.

I second that, I have used shea butter up to 10% with good results

this is for CP
olive oil, coconut oil, tallow, and just a little bit of caster oil.
