Teach Soap

I have far and few in-between shows to sell soaps. I read on this forum to keep cured soap in plastic containers and add a cotton ball to help keep the fragrance stronger. But, how long can they stay in there, stored like this? I don't max out my percentage of FO or EO, so they are lightly scented, about 4 oz. per 7 lbs. of oils. depending on the scent of course. So, how long can I store soaps and still sell them without any regrets. I use palm oil, sunflower oil, almond oil and coconut oil and natural colorings. I have soaps from one year but are they still good enough to sell or should i keep them for myself. I do rotate to sell oldest first, but is that how you all do it? Thanks to all that respond.

The cotton ball trick doesn't work. I've tried it. It's only very temporary. I have had my extra soaps in plastic storage boxes with no problems. Some of the tester bars are at least 7 years old. For your size batch I use approx. 4.9 ozs. of scent.
