Hi, these are my test batches :D I used the lye calculator table and just made up random formulas with what i have in my kitchen. Luckily they all went well. But i do have problems with the colourings.

The first batch i just used paprika so the colour is alright; but as soon as i switched to oxides, i have problems. I don't know how much to use and the colours never come out right. I made a batch last nite, used red oxide but it just came out really pale, kind of grey-ish pale purple (i will update picture once i unmould it). Did i use too little (i heard that you shouldnt have to use too much oxides since the colour is pretty stable ... doesn't look like my case) or is that the vanilla fragrance oil that changed my colour? Please help. Thank you sooo much!!!!

This one has loads of sesame oil in it, and i also used milk to substitute for water ... and some grounded coffee ... will they go off?

I love this one the most, but they're just purely for novelty purpose ... i can't imagine having to pull the cinnamon stick out before using them :(

Vanilla will change the final color. Your oils might too. The lighter the oils, the better the color. Try 1/2 tsp. of ultramarines or oxides per lb. of soap. Sesame oil has a short shelf life. I don't use it. I like the purple & the pink soap.
