Hi All-PLEASE HELP!
Well I finally made my first batch of CP soap! I used the recipe that Anne Marie sent for Pumpkin soap and it smells outstanding. Only problem is that the soap looks really ugly right now. When I was making it I let it trace to far and I didn't get to swirl it or anything since it was so hard. I'm thinking I can rebatch it but I've never done that either so I'd like a little advise as to what else went wrong since the lighter color looks cracked and that's what's really making it look ugly. Maybe I didn't mix the Titanium dioxide enough or this is just something that happens please tell me. And also if you think I should rebatch it so that I can try to make it look prettier (I'd like to be able to sell it if I can make it pretty) how I should do it. I've read about shredding it and putting it in a couple of baggies and boiling till soft then remold?
Here's a couple of pics of the pumpkin soap so you can see what I'm talking about when I say ugly cracks.
Thanks for all your help!
Lisa

Well, first of all, if that's ugly soap then I am NEVER posting my ugly soap. Second, looks more like air bubbles/spaces than cracks from the pic. If trace it was fast, you probably didn't get it in the mold without spaces---- I always bang or tap the molds on the counter several times after filling to get the air out and even out the soap in the mold. If it was hardening up fast, the banging doesn't always work.

That's my input---- don't due titanium or rebatches--- someone else will add those parts :D

If it doesn't zap, I would leave the soap alone. If you rebatch, the colors will mix together and you will not be able to put it into your mold as easy as CP.

Thank you both for the input! Believe me it is UGLY. I had to compress the photos in order to post them here so the cracks and white stuff I was talking about are not showing up in the picture. You're right though, if it did look like these pictures it wouldn't be that bad.

I do agree about the problem with rebatching would be the colors getting mixed up and I would be okay with that. Who knows, maybe my family won't really care if it's ugly anyway. I'm probably worring about nothing.

Thanks for all your help!

I think they don't look bad at all.

But if you wan to rebatch I recoments separating the white and orange the best that you can and rebatch in different bags.

Yes I wondered if anyone would say I should seperate them so I'm glad you did. I'd still like to havv two colors so I think I will try this out.
