Does anybody use these? Is there something I have to do to them the first couple of times or are they ready to go? I got them off of e-bay and they arrived today. I found a web site that has similar molds and it says to used mineral oil for the first couple of times to help the mold release. I'm interested to see how they work, but don't want to sacrifice a batch of soap if I can help it.

One word: vaseline.

Vaseline doesn't saponify. You don't need much. Just a very light coating and they'll slip right off. The more "seasoned" and the more you use it the easier the bars come off. Either that or you could line with freezer paper. If you use freezer paper then make sure the wax side faces the soap.

You could also use beeswax and/or sodium lactate in your recipe.
