Hello,

Here comes another questions:

First, I plan to add Titanium dioxide as white pigment to make CP soap. Is Titanium dioxide harmful to skin? is it chemical synthetic in lab(the one sold me siad it was made of physically)?

Second, Calcium lactate, I plan to add it to make CP soap harder(more firm), which means I don't wanna let it quickly wore off(washed away)(I'd like to use soaps longer). Same Q, is Calcium lactate harmful to skin? is it chemical synthetic in lab?

Titanium dioxide is made in a lab. Used correctly, it will not harm the skin. For hardening of soap, I think you mean sodium lactate, not calcium lactate.

I've just purchased SL and am so excited to try it with HP - normally HP is rustic, but the last Castile I made was a complete disaster

Since CL is so useful, what is the amount(%) I can use it(some said it will be too crispy to cut the loaf if we add CL)? Besides, they say beewax can also make soaps harder. Is it true? Any comment? Thanks!

I use 1% of SL and approximately 1% beeswax.

I'm retracting part of a post I wrote previously. I decided yesterday that I'm no longer using SL in gelled batches. I haven't liked the texture of the gelled bars I've made with it. At all. My gelled, cured soap is quite hard without it. I don't need SL in gelled batches. I may still use SL for HP and for soap I don't gel but not for gelled CP soap anymore.
