If you are talking about a salt bar, you can go as high as 1:1.

For my non-salt bars, I usually add about 1 teaspoon ppo to harden them up (I personally like the glycerin)......you might want to do a small test batch and start there.

1 tsp. PPO should work just fine. I thought you were making salt bars.

Salt bars - the salt works wonders with hard water, it makes the water softer and gives you more of a creamier lather. It won't give you lots of big bubbles, but the feel is more lotiony. It creates a very hard bar that lasts a long time.

Any soap recipe can be modified with salt to make a salt bar.
