didn't find this in a search, so I'm hoping it's not redundant to you all.

If you put liquid silk into a batch of soap, do you count it's weight as part of the water? I was planning to put about 2% by weight into my little batch of cp soap.

um... Since my recipe allows for between 8 - 11 oz of liquid, and my 2% by weight silk won't put the water over this amount.... then it won't matter. But I'm still curious how the rest of you do it.

No, it's not necesarry.
I add raw silk to my hot lye water instead. It's cheaper.

Here's a thought. If you have a fabric store near you, buy a small amount of raw silk cloth with no color. Cut it into small pices, then add to your hot lye. That should work the same way.
